The Sims go to work, they earn money called Simoleans which can be used for purchasing new and better stuff for there homes. Younger Sims go to school and you have to manage that they better complete there homework on time. There are a lot of things you can ask your Sim to do. You can make them read a book, learn to cook food, work out, play guitar and so forth. Each of these activities will increase the skill level of the Sims and can be quite useful while earning promotion in jobs. The Sims also loves the company of friends, they like to throw parties, celebrate birthdays and so forth. They speak in a gibberish language called Simlish and sometimes there thoughts are expressed by speech bubbles that may appear over there heads.
You can create your Sims from the scratch and the game gives you a lot of physical customization options. The personality traits range from Athletic, Charismatic, Kleptomaniac, Loner, Romantic, Artistic and so on. Each personality traits will have an impact on how your Sims behave and interact. Loner Sims will prefer solitude and will enjoy working alone while Athletic Sims enjoy working out and will be better suited for Military and Police jobs. So if you keep your Loner sim in solitude, his happiness level will increase. This also influences the interaction options that appear while interacting with other Sims or things.
Apart from the personality traits, there are a lot of other new options. Now your Sims will have wishes which can earn your reward points when the wish is fulfilled. There will be a Lifetime wish which is mostly job related like “Becoming an Astronaut”, “Becoming a Profession player”, “Becoming International Spy” and so forth. There are also small wishes that appear in due course of the game like “Buying a new Computer”, “Ordering a Pizza”, “Teaching your kid to walk” etc. All these and the career your Sims excel in will depend on the personality traits. Your Sims will leave for work in a specified time and a carpool arrives to pick and drop them. Sims who have a car have the option of going to work on there own vehicle. During work, you also have several options which depends on the type of job you have. For example in police work, you have the option of “Working Hard”, “Building Independent Case”, “Slacking Off” etc. These can be used to gel with your partner or impress your boss in order to get a promotion. You will also get a few opportunities along the way which the Sims can complete in order the impress the boss and earn rewards. These can range from reading a book, attending a convention etc.

You can also visit places like Graveyard where you may watch a ghost on your lucky day. Your Sims love to meet new people. You can visit your neighbours by visiting there homes and introducing yourselves. Once you have made friends, you can invite them to your home by calling them.
There are a lot of new possibilities when the Sims are together. You can dance with other Sims, hang out with them on the swimming pool and splash others or hold a breathing contest. It is always fun to see there expressions and listen to there gibberish talking. The Sims loves new stuff and they better stuff provides you with better results. A cheap bad will often result in a bad night sleep. Just like in real life, the toilets will often clog, sinks will break and you can either repair them your self or call a technician to do the work for a small fee. You can also a maid and if you have to take care of a baby, just hire a baby sitter to take care of it while you are away. Sometimes fire may arise while cooking a meal and you will have to call Fire Brigade. Thieves may come to steal stuff and you have to call the police to catch them. You also have to pay bills every three days. Failure to do so will result in repo man coming to your house and taking your stuff.
The Sims prefer a better house and a better lifestyle. The more money you have, you can use it decorate your house or yard by buying better stuff. The Sims can pursue other interests like painting or gazing at stars, writing a story. Not only will these increase the skill but it might earn your simoleans if you write the next bestseller or discover a new star. The Sims have a lifecycle and they will grow bigger as they move from toddlers to pre teens to teens to adults to elder and to eventual death. A sim dies in a unique fashion, you will see the Grim Reaper appearing and taking him away. The Sims have feeling and the loss of the loved ones will lead some moments of grief and you can see your Sims crying while remembering the dear ones. As your Sims gets more promotion, he will earn more and work on less days so you have enough time to engage in other activities. There is a Buy mode in the game in which you can buy stuff ranging from Kitchen Appliances to outdoor stuff. The Build mode lets you make changes to your house like extend the wall, create a new room, apply tiles, build a swimming pool and so on.
The game also has an online feature which lets you share your created contents and stuff. You can also download user created contents and many things from online store which costs real money. There are some stuff which seems to be missing from Sims 3 when you compare it with previous expansions. There are no pets in the game and these stuff could have been included. The game is highly scalable and it can work on a range of machines from a new to old ones. The Graphics of the game are great and the animations are perfect. The Community places are well modeled and the characters look great. The sound of the game is terrific and all that gibberish can sometimes seem very nice and funny.
Overall Sims 3 provides so much entertainment that it will keep you busy for months. There are a lot of things to do and lot of options to explore. The game will keep you glued to your screen for hours and will provide some very funny movements.
