There were rumors that Microsoft will announce a new motion gaming controller for the XBOX 360 at the E3 but what was showcased a few minutes ago at the Microsoft’s E3 conference is totally next Gen. The new motion sensing system called Project Natal, is actually a camera that will use your movement and voice recognition to deliver a totally new gaming experience. Microsoft said “The Controller is YOU” and this is so true in the case. You will be able to control the games with your body movement, moving your hand, kicking around, jumping.
That’s not all, it will also be able to scan any object that you wish to use in your games. It also has facial and voice recognition so now you can control the XBOX 360 menus just by moving your hands. This will also recognize your face and will log you in automatically. All this provides a totally new and immersive way of interacting and playing the games. The good news is that it will be compatible with all the XBOX 360 consoles. The development kits of Project Natal will be sent to Microsoft’s partners today. There is no mention when this will become available though.

Stop trying to grab some of the success of the Wii. This will probably just be a huge useless gimmick like the eye toy was for PlayStation. I like my 360 and like my Wii, i want them to do what they are meant to do, not stray into the others corner. Stick to what you do best Microsoft, just face the facts that Nintendo beat you this round.
