Konami Working on SAW game, release First Screenshots
Konami delivered a great survival horror game in the form of the ‘Silent Hill’ series. Now they are hoping to impress the games again with another game of the same genre called “SAW” which is based on the SAW movie.
The fate of the game looked to be over hen its previous developers Brash Studio went Bankrupt. The game reverted back to movie studios Lionsgate who also rejected the idea of handling the publishing themselves. Konami then purchased the License and got Zombie Developers to finish the game under its direction. Konami has a huge experience with the survival horror genre and the SAW looks a great series to work on after Silent Hill.
The game play will focus on the Jigsaw’s traps which will be turned into puzzles. Gamers will play as a character in an asylum who will have to decide how to solve the puzzle and save the victims. The game will be full of Jigsaw’s unusual traps which were a highlight of the movie. Some will be the same as one saw in the movies.
I hope the game gives the users a choice to follow there own path and there is some variety in how the puzzles can be solved. The game is scheduled to come out along with the movie SAW VI for the PC, PS3 and XBOX 360.
