Our Score

8.5

Pros: Call Of Duty type action, Lots of weapons and drones

Cons: vehicle command is bit difficult, buggy

In fuel of wars you play as the sergeant of a unit called stray dogs, finds itself in the middle of war between the US and the alliance between Russia and China. I know u must be thinking its an old formula but believe me it works. The game provides an excellent background in the events that started the war. Also the cut scenes feature a commentary by a journalist that gives a brief introduction about the next level. I feel the story is as compelling as that of halo games and puts the player in the right frame of mind.

Fuel of War 1

The gameplay is amazing. It’s face paced and action packed. Enemies come from everywhere and you have to be careful. You can just go in between the battle and shoot everyone. The player has to be prudent, take cover, inspect the area, eliminate the hostile units and then move forward. The game will keep the player on his toes. The gameplay is a lot like Call of duty, but more intense and better story. A map usually contains more than 3 missions. Missions usually involve to take a over a target, destroy a target or to defend a target. What makes these missions interesting is that fact that the player is told why does he needs to complete the mission eg, taking out an anti air target can allow you to get more reinforcements by air.

Perhaps the best feature of the game are vehicles. These vehicles can be manned (tanks, and helicopters) or unmanned like assault drones with powerful machine guns that can even rip apart concrete, Arial bombs for taking out enemies on height and a helicopter that is equipped with a rocket launcher which is capable of wiping out an entire outpost, of used correctly.

Fuel of War 3

The game has limited number of weapons, a standard assault rifle powerful but has high recoil thus affect it’s accuracy, a shotgun, a SMG quite , accurate and deadly, sniper riffle and rocket launcher. The bad thing about the game is that you can’t pick up your enemy’s weapon. The player can only equip the weapons that are lying around and that belong to your faction. There have been many cases where I have to take out a tank and my enemy is equipped with a rocket launcher, still I cannot equip myself with that rocket launcher. This sucks. In the games you will be given squad mates but you can’t control them and they don’t do much to help you. They might occasionally kill enemies that fire at you but usually they are involved in their own fights. To make matter worst only the player can complete the missions. You squad mates can’t destroy or take over the target.

Fuel of War 4

Graphics of the game are just what you would expect in a decent game. Nothing extraordinary. The game uses unreal 3 engine and I expected better graphics. The in game music and sounds are amazing. Again I would like to compare the music for this game to Halo. The music helps set the mood and tone of the game. It drives you towards your goal. Through music you feel a sense of purpose, accomplishment and urgency.
