Football Manager 2009 Details
We can begin the countdown to Football Manager 2009 as the game is set to be released on 14th November, 2008 and will contains some new and exciting features which will make “The Greatest Job on Earth” much more realistic.
The game will include a new feature called “Assistant Manager Feedback”. During a match, the assistant manager will give feedback about two major areas which includes player’s motivation and general feedback. The motivation area will tell us about the players motivation in the match while the general feedback will tell us whether our tactics are working or how opposition is exploiting our weakness and what can we do to exploit there’s. The media plays an important role in the game now. There will be all sorts of transfer rumors and some of them will be accurate and some will be pure rumor.
An important aspect of the game will be “Press Conference” which will be held before and after the match. They will help to build relationship with the journalist but beware before answering, as some answers can come back to haunt you in the future as the press will remember what we have said. The training section is also improved and now you can also tell your players to learn special moves such as “Step Overs””, “free kicks” by keeping them to train after the normal practice session. And yes, you can also now play as a female manager. The Board Confidence section is also now improved.
The Transfer System of the game is also rewritten from the scratch. Now the shortlist section will be more efficient and accurate on predicting transfers. And yes, one of the biggest changes is in the match engine. The Match Engine is now in 3D. Motion capture technology has been used for the animations and it will have more than 100 animations. But if you are comfortable with 2D, that option will still be there. A new way of watching the match will be the “Tv View” and the time line feature is also improved.
The PSP version of the game also has a few changes and it is now possible to start 3 leagues simultaneously. The game will be released on PC, Mac and PSP platform and a demo will be available after a month and half.
